With the majority of you in the Middle East, you are stupid not be able to defeat Israel. Israel has less than 10 million Jews, and yet for the past 60 over years, you Muslims cannot defeat them. You know the reason ?
Israel has a president who has no political power wherelse you Muslims have executive kings or presidents. So how can you Muslims defeat the Jews ? Follow the Jews and appoint your president without political power. Your king can be non executive, just a figure head like in Malaysia. The latter is stable because of this reason.
Just look a the number of Muslim countries that are stable. Without the oil money , do you think you can be stable ? You will go into chaos and divided.
So if you want to have stable country, appoint a man to be your head-of-state without political power. Power should be in the hand of the prime minister and his cabinet.
Jews and Muslims are about the same. Both believe in the religion of Abraham. Both are circumcised and do not eat pork. In a way you Muslims are Jews, except you want to differentiate yourself from the Jews. The Quran is full of stories of the Jews. And try to study carefully Surah 17 verse 104
PICKTHAL: And We said unto the Children of Israel after him: Dwell in the land; but when the promise of the Hereafter cometh to pass We shall bring you as a crowd gathered out of various nations.
It says Allah will gather the Jews before the promise of the Hereafter approaches. This is a sign that the formation of Israel is telling us DOOM is near. So you Muslims, you better wake up and make peace.

Can Singaporeans Be Gracious ?

Singaporeans cannot be gracious with Lee Kuan Yew and PAP in authority. They give bad example for Singaporeans to imitate. Like the catch phrase "I will sue you in court", is used by many Singaporeans to intimidate fellow Singaporesns and others.
The way they treat the elite favourably and the down throdden shabily is sign they are ungracious. The way they treat the oppositions shows they are unrighteous and ungracious.
The way they treat foreign workers like slaves shows how ungracious they are.
Therefore if you want to have a gracious Singapore, you Singaporeans should vote out the PAP.
Graciousness comes from the top. You cannot expect the bottom people to teach top leaders how to behave. The people just follow the top leaders.

Singaporeans Becoming Barbarians ?

Today and yestarday I visited Xiaxue's blog to look at the issue she raised about Steven Lim. After going through it, I find that she uses vulgarity to spice up her blog. Also many commentators use vulgarity.
I used to take part the forum in Google group soc.culture.singapore and others. There most posters also use vulgarity.
If this is carried on, we might become a nation of barbarians.
In the '70s, I use to board British tankers. The junior officers like to use vulgarity in their speech. I find this disgusting.
In the '90s I ferry pessengers in my taxi. Once I took 2 Indian young women from Britain and I was shocked the way they spoke. They used the same vulgarity as the British officers in tankers.
We are a nation of mostly Asians. Are we aping the British to speak the way they do ? I call this barbarian language. I would not mind if you use Hokien, Indian or Malay vulgar words as they are your mother tongue. But if you use English vulgarity in your words, you are considered barbarians.

Hamas In Gaza

Hamas was elected as the majority government in Palestine. The West does not want to talk to them and Israel does not want to deal with them. They, the Hamas is the chosen representives of the Palestinian people, if the rest of the world do not want to deal with them, they can still survive with limited resources from radical Muslims. But the people there will suffer. Those liberals will leave Gaza leaving behind only fundalmentalists.
What the world Muslims will look at this treatment of Palestinians by the West and the liberal Muslim countries like Eygpt and Jordan, this picture will have a bad influence on them. They might want to join the radicals.
What the West have to do is talk to them and provide needed aids to the poor suffering refugees there. If you don't negotiate with them, it is tantamount to say the Palestinians have to die or surrender. Democracy is brought to the Palestinians. And if the result is rejected by the West, why introduce democracy in the first place ? You are saying Saudi and other Muslim kingdoms do not need democracy any more if the people want to vote for the radical parties.
Hamas might be radical at the moment but they can be negotiated to make peace since they are now the elected representives. It is no use using pressure to force them to give up violence. For democracy to work, let them run the country and talk with them for peace at the same time. In due time they will cool down their vengence for revenge agsainst Israel.

Retire At 62 ?

I am presently retired. I am only 56. It is up to you whether you want to work or retire. Put your life in your own hand, not let the government to drag you by the nose. They can legistrate new law to extend the retirement age to 65, and also the release of CPF minimum sum from then on. PAP is the government , what they want to do is up to them, since they have the two third majority in parliament. If you want to blame, just blame yourself why you want to vote for them. It is you Singaporeans who put them there, so don't blame others.
Life and death is in the hand of Nature. Why be so hard on life. Take it easy and let Nature takes its course. Why must you want to have 5 Cs. Are they so important to your life ? When you die, what will happen to them ? Can you bring them to your grave or after life ?
Don't let peer pressure to drag you down. If your relatives have big houses and big cars, don't follow them. Just stick to your budget. Don't ever go into debt to live a life of luxury. Frugal is the right word to everyone.
We come to earth is not to get rich or famous. We are just visitors on earth. Just treat it as a visit because we have to go home to our source. Earth is not our home. So don't get too engrossed into earthly life.

Hawkers And Storeholders

Hawkers and storeholders work long hours but only some make good money. They have no holidays, working 7 days a week. For some storeholders or shopkeepers they rest on Sundays if they make money on other days. For most hawkers, they keep working for 7 days a week and their holidays are only during Chinese New Year, when they can rest for 1 week for 3 weeks.
Old hawkers and storeholders or shopkeepers find it hard to get their children to take over them. Their children don't like the long hours of working and most prefer to work in aircon environment. Their fathers' shops or stores are mostly non aircon.
With more shopping centres coming up in neighbourhood centres, these storeholders or shopkeepers are threatened with competition from the new big shopping centres which cater to more variety of merchandice and their prices can sometime be cheaper than the storeholders. They buy in bulk, so their cost can be cheaper.
I give an example. NTUC expanded the Fairprice supermarket in Ang Mo Kio centre into a bigger store. Other shops in the Ang Mo Kio centre will be threatened. Is this the way of the NTUC Fairprice to kill the livelihood of Singaporeans shopkeepers or storeholders ?
Like in my are, the HDB built a mini shopping comples for shops. These compete with other shops in the area and I see many shop are still vacant because the shopkeepers cannot make money so they have to close shop. There is a supermarket so the storeholders in the wet market are affected. Right now they are reconstructing a new wet market and I want to see how the storeholders can survive with so many shops. A vacant plot nearby if allowed to build to have a few more blocks of flats, the extra shops in the area should be able to survive.
These hawkers and storeholders are a dieing bread. The new generation hawkers are different. Some even have university degree. They go upmarket product so competition is less.
Hawkers are suppose to hawk their food, but some employ many workers, so they should be classified as food storeholders rather than hawkers. I advice the Health ministry to reconsider issuing hawker license to these food storeholders who can drive big cars and live in private properties. A few of the Newton Food Centre storeholders are in this category.
My suggestion is that HDB should plan carefully the building of flats and shops in the neighbourhood towns. The concept of new towns is so inconvenient for residents away from the neighbourhood centre. Just go to Sengkang and Ponggul and see for yourself.

Roots

Root is inborn in us and it is very hard to change it. People who want to change it is to intermarriage with other races and the product is the mixture of the parents, like White and African.
The danger of the mixture is that it might get lost and discarded. An example is the descendants of the famous Siamese twin. Most of them are now more White in appearance than Thai. Also I don't know how many of them are direct descendants from the forefather paternally. My assumption is that after the 3rd generation, the paternality link will be lost, that is to say only girls are born. So the direct Thai paternality root is no more.
I want to highlight the case of Peraknakan in Singapore. This group is going to be a lost race. They are Straits born Chinese, some whose forefathers might have gone to Malacca after Admiral Cheng Ho made known Malacca to the Chinese in China during the Ming dynasty. The modern day Peraknakans are mostly Christian or Catholic and their behavior is getting more Western. I give an example of my wife's brother funeral. His son and daughter did not follow Chinese custom to wear the colouring of ranks during the funeral, so outsiders cannot know the relationship of the mourners to the dead. Usually there are black, blue, red plus blue and green etc to differentiate the kinship related to the dead.
They don't speak Chinese and most communicate in English or Malay with their elders. They take Malay as a 2nd language and despise other Chinese as low class, the common name is 'cheena'. In the 1st place, Peraknakan are Chinese and by calling their fellow Chinese 'cheena', they are indirectly using a hammer to knock their own heads. 'Cheena' is the same as what Malays call the Chinese, the spelling might be slightly different. Their roots are Chinese, so by putting a nick name on other Chinese, they are hammering their own heads.
In America, the Africans are a lost race or rootless race. They embrace Western culture and forgotten their African roots. They can only be saved if they have deep religious belief. If not, they can be easily discarded by the natural processes of Nature to root out rootless people.
Many americans are of mixed races. This is a danger for America because the future descendants of these people might be cut. So the only hope is for immigrants to take up the places in American society. In the end, American can be a land of the Hispanic or the Asian races. The White and the Africans might be reduced to a few.
So for a man who wants to have a string of descendants, he has to make sure his son marries a woman of his own race.

Divorce

Genesis
2:23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
2:25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.
Husband and wife shall be one flesh, so how can you divorce your wife for another woman ?
Jesus also said the same thing.
So divorce is wrong, unless your wife commits adultery you cannot divorce her.
In Confucianism, it is also discouraging divorce. In Asian in the past divorce was seldom heard of. With the onslaught of Western culture and modern living, people are getting divorce so easily.
Malachi -
4:1 For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.
4:2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
4:3 And ye shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, saith the LORD of hosts.

Homosexual

Homosexual is hot topic in Singapore after Lee Kuan Yew said government is not moral police and homosexual might be decriminalised from the penal code.
Homosexual is the indication of the moral standard of a country. When a country is going downhill on moral ground, there will appear more homosexuals in the country. If people think this is a natural process, they are wrong.
Nature has sign for people to read or see to know what might happen or are already happening but people are too absorbed in pleasure making that they are immune to all the signs. Homosexual is one of them. When society allowed homosexuals to live what they like as what Thailand is doing, then natural or human suffering will occur. Beauty contest for homosexuals only encourage more degradation to the society. More will get involved, so more suffering will occur.
To cure homosexual of their behavior is to get them to meditate my type of meditation posted in this blog or in Meditation For Everyone in my website.
Homosexual can be classified as a mental illness. There is not need to criminalise them, but help them to overcome their bad behavior. If the government of the day does not contemplate what is the wrong in the country to have more homosexual, then they are doing a disservice to the country. They have to find where they go wrong. For Thailand, they help the Americans to kill the Vietnamese during the Vietnam war. At the same time, they provided prostitutes for the American servicemen. This sins will hang on them forever if they still don't want to correct their degrading behavior. The Muslim militants in the South might just be a warning to the Thais to wake up. Or else more blood shed will flow and more natural disasters will occur.
Homosexual is hot topic in Singapore after Lee Kuan Yew said government is not moral police and homosexual might be decriminalised from the penal code.
Homosexual is the indication of the moral standard of a country. When a country is going downhill on moral ground, there will appear more homosexuals in the country. If people think this is a natural process, they are wrong.
Nature has sign for people to read or see to know what might happen or are already happening but people are too absorbed in pleasure making that they are immune to all the signs. Homosexual is one of them. When society allowed homosexuals to live what they like as what Thailand is doing, then natural or human suffering will occur. Beauty contest for homosexuals only encourage more degradation to the society. More will get involved, so more suffering will occur.
To cure homosexual of their behavior is to get them to meditate my type of meditation posted in this blog or in Meditation For Everyone in my website.
Homosexual can be classified as a mental illness. There is not need to criminalise them, but help them to overcome their bad behavior. If the government of the day does not contemplate what is the wrong in the country to have more homosexual, then they are doing a disservice to the country. They have to find where they go wrong. For Thailand, they help the Americans to kill the Vietnamese during the Vietnam war. At the same time, they provided prostitutes for the American servicemen. This sins will hang on them forever if they still don't want to correct their degrading behavior. The Muslim militants in the South might just be a warning to the Thais to wake up. Or else more blood shed will flow and more natural disasters will occur.

I have 4 functioning websites as below:

I am unable to edit the pages because my old Frontpage 2000 is an illegal copy. I have not put the software into my computers. For English pages, I can still do the html editing, but for traditional Chinese text, I am unable to do so. I used copy and paste method because I don't know how to input the Chinese text.

My Diet
Singapore time: 2.10 pm 1st May 2007
My breakfast consists mainly of a guava, some bananas and some raw ground nuts. After waking up at about 5 am, I do meditation till about 6 am. Then I have a glass of plain water, read the day's newspaper and have breakfast at the same time.
Lunch is another guava, some bananas. Before lunch at about 9 to 10 am, I have a glass of plain water or coffee black or Chinese tea. After lunch I can have plain water or Chinese tea or coffee black. About 3 pm I take some raw sesame seeds and plain water.
Dinner is now a raw red carrot and 1 or 2 bananas and water. Raw red carrot is to improve my eye sight.
At times, I take raw sweet corn in cone, raw cucumber, raw cashew nuts, raw almond, raisins, dates etc. I also pinch vegetables and tofu, because they might be wasted and thrown away.
