Singapore time 8.09 am 4th September 2007

My wife will be a vegetarian and that time is the golden time for me. This is the sign I have achieved 'Regulating my family'. The next phase will be 'cure the country'.

In the meantime, the world will have to suffer for the next Messiah to appear.

Son of Perdition

Singapore time 7.49 am 30th August 2007

2 Thessalonians chapter 2
2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him,
2:2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
2:3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.
2:5 Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?
2:6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.
2:7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
2:12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.
2:13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:
2:14 Whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
2:15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.
2:16 Now our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God, even our Father, which hath loved us, and hath given us everlasting consolation and good hope through grace,
2:17 Comfort your hearts, and stablish you in every good word and work.

Verse 3 is talking about me as Son of Perdition because I preach the Truth and people simply reject me. So they hate me as if I am the Son of perdition. Refer Luke chapter 17 posted earlier today.
This chapter is hard to understand because contradiction in words. So you have to see the original text to verify. For me I check both the Chinese and English texts to verify as I don't know the original Greek text.

Verse 13 is talking about Sealing on the Mark on our forehead. Refer to Revelation chapter 7 about the 144,000 Jews getting Sealed on the forehead. The actual meaning is that all human beings are to be Sealed. If Jews are to be Sealed, then Christians are 2nd class

Luke chapter 17-
17:20 And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:
17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
17:22 And he said unto the disciples, The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it.
17:23 And they shall say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after them, nor follow them.
17:24 For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one part under heaven, shineth unto the other part under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.
17:25 But first must he suffer many things, and be rejected of this generation.
17:26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
17:27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
17:28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded;
17:29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
17:30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
17:31 In that day, he which shall be upon the housetop, and his stuff in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.
17:32 Remember Lot's wife.
17:33 Whosoever shall seek to save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his life shall preserve it.
17:34 I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed; the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.
17:35 Two women shall be grinding together; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

17:36 Two men shall be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
17:37 And they answered and said unto him, Where, Lord? And he said unto them, Wheresoever the body is, thither will the eagles be gathered together.

Verse 21 is very clear, the Kingdom of God is inside you.
Verse 24 to 26 are saying about me, preaching to the world about the Truth, but people will reject me as what they rejected Noah in the past.
Verse 27 onwards are talking about the punishment falling on earth on that particular day which is near.

Luke chapter 21
21:1 And he looked up, and saw the rich men casting their gifts into the treasury. 21:2 And he saw also a certain poor widow casting in thither two mites. 21:3 And he said, Of a truth I say unto you, that this poor widow hath cast in more than they all: 21:4 For all these have of their abundance cast in unto the offerings of God: but she of her penury hath cast in all the living that she had. 21:5 And as some spake of the temple, how it was adorned with goodly stones and gifts, he said, 21:6 As for these things which ye behold, the days will come, in the which there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. 21:7 And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass? 21:8 And he said, Take heed that ye be not deceived: for many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and the time draweth near: go ye not therefore after them. 21:9 But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by. 21:10 Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: 21:11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven. 21:12 But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name's sake. 21:13 And it shall turn to you for a testimony. 21:14 Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer: 21:15 For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist. 21:16 And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death. 21:17 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake. 21:18 But there shall not an hair of your head perish. 21:19 In your patience possess ye your souls.
21:20 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.
21:21 Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto.
21:22 For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled.
21:23 But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people.
21:24 And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
21:25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
21:26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
21:27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
21:29 And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees; 21:30 When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand. 21:31 So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand. 21:32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled. 21:33 Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away. 21:34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. 21:35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth. 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. 21:37 And in the day time he was teaching in the temple; and at night he went out, and abode in the mount that is called the mount of Olives. 21:38 And all the people came early in the morning to him in the temple, for to hear him.

Verse 20 onwards, the chapter is talking about the punishment that is to be meted out to Jerusalem and the surrounding area. Jerusalem is now surrounded by Muslims who are hostile to the Jews who still want to claim it as their own.

Chapter 2 --Communion Through Knowledge

Sanjaya said: To him who was thus overcome with pity and whose eyes were full of tears and bore a bewildered look, Sri Krsna spoke as follows.

The Blessed Lord said: O Arjuna! Whence has this loathsome stupidity (I also use this word to screw people) come upon you in this crisis? It (this attitude) is unworthy of a noble personage; it is a bar to heaven and a cause of much disrepute.
O Partha! Yield not to unmanliness! It befits thee not. Abandoning this base faint-heartedness, rise up, O dreaded hero!

Arjuna said: O Krsna! How can I attack Bhisma and Drona in battle with my arrows? They are, indeed, worthy of worship, O destroyer of foes!
It is indeed better to live here in this world on a beggar's fare than to prosper by killing these venerable teachers. The enjoyment of pleasure and power obtained through the slaughter of these teachers and elders will surely by bloodstained.
We do not know which of the two (alternatives) will be the better--the one that we should conquer them or the other that they should conquer us. The men on the side of Dhrtarastra, standing arrayed against us are the very people after killing whom we should not care to live.
My natural disposition is vitiated by a sense of pity, and my mind is in utter confusion regarding my duty. Lord, I beg Thee, tell me with certainty what will lead to my good. I am Thy disciple. Instruct me, who have taken refuge in Thee.
I do not find anything that can assuage this grief which numbs my senses. Neither the unchallenged lordship over a prosperous kingdom, nor even the overlord-ship of all the Devas can do so.

Sanjaya said: Addressing Sri Krsna, the master of the senses, (the master, Mind) Arjuna, though valorous and vigilant said, 'I will not fight', and sat silent.
O King! To him who was thus sitting grief-stricken between the two armies (instead of fighting), Sri Krsna said as if by way of ridicule.

The Blessed Lord said, 'You are moaning for those who should not be moaned for. Yet you speak like a wise man. The truly wise never weep either for the dead or for the living.
Never was there a time when I did not exist, nor you, nor these rulers of men. Nor shall all of us cease to be hereafter.
Even as the attainment of childhood, youth and old age is to one in this physical life, so is the change to another body (at death) for the embodied soul. Wise men are not deluded by this.
Contact of the senses with their object generates cold and heat, pleasure and pain. They come and go, being impermanent. Bear with them patiently, O scion of the Bharata race!
O leader of men! That enlightened one who is unperturbed alike in pleasure and pain, whom these do not distress--he indeed is worthy of immortality. (we have to maintain a neutral state of mind in our worldly affair - that is no emotion)
The unreal can never come into existence, and the real can never cease to be. The wise philosophers have known the truth about these categories (of the real and the unreal).
Know that Reality, by which everything is pervaded, to be indestructible. No one can cause the destruction of this immutable Being.
What is said to perish are these bodies, in which the imperishable and unlimited Spirit is embodied. Therefore fight, O scion of the Bharata race!
He who thinks him (the self) to be the killer, and who experiences him )the self) as the killed--both of them know not. He (the self or Spirit) neither kills nor is killed.
He (this Spiritual Self) has neither birth nor death. (same as Jesus Christ) Nor does he cease to be, having been in existence before; unborn, eternal, permanent and primeval, he (the Spirit in our body) is never killed when the body is killed.
O Arjuna! know this self to be eternal, un-decaying, birth-less and indestructible. A person who knows him to be so--how and whom can he kill, how and whom can he cause to be killed?
Just as a man gives up old garments and puts on new ones, so the embodied self abandons decrepit bodies and assumes new ones.
Him the weapons cleave not; Him the fire burns not; Him the waters wet not; Him the wind dries not.
He cannot be cut or burnt. He can neither be wetted nor dried. Eternal, all-pervading, immovable and motionless. He is the same for ever.
Knowing Him (the self) to be un-manifest, inconceivable, and un-modifiable, it is improper to mourn for Him. (then why we have funeral rites)
In the alternative, even if you hold him (the self) to be subject to constant births and deaths, there is no justification, O mighty armed, for your mourning for him.
For the born, death is unavoidable, and for the dead birth is sure to take place. Therefore in a situation that is inevitable, there is no justification for you to grieve.
(Life is just like that. We are just actors.)

This chapter 2 tells us the Self Nature inside our body is the Supreme Being.

Therefore I don't attend funeral or pray to dead body. I don't pray to ancestors and all other Gods or statues. The Self Nature inside me is my Only God.

It has to be Sealed, so that we can return to our source, the VOID.

Sutra of Hui Neng
Chapter 10 -
middle part

"The Buddhas who have appeared in this world are too many to be counted," replied the Patriarch. "But let us start from the last seven Buddhas. They are: Of the last kalpa (the Alamkarakalpa): Buddha Vipasyin Buddha Sikhin Buddha Visvabhu Of the present kalpa (the Bhadrakalpa): Buddha Krakucchanda Buddha Kanakamuni Buddha Kasyapa Buddha Sakyamuni

[The Buddha mentioned in The Diamond Sutra, who predicted the Buddhahood of Sakyamuni is not in the list. Therefore sutras are parables and persons named are only for parables.]

"From the Buddha Sakyamuni, the Law was transmitted to the: 1st Patriarch Arya Mahakasyapa 2nd Patriarch Arya Ananda 3rd Patriarch Arya Sanakavasa 4th Patriarch Arya Upagupta 5th Patriarch Arya Dhritaka 6th Patriarch Arya Michaka 7th Patriarch Arya Vasumitra 8th Patriarch Arya Buddhanandi 9th Patriarch Arya Buddhamitra 10th Patriarch Arya Parsva 11th Patriarch Arya Punyayasas 12th Patriarch Bodhisattva Asvaghosa 13th Patriarch Arya Kapimala 14th Patriarch Bodhisattva Nagarjuna 15th Patriarch Kanadeva 16th Patriarch Arya Rahulata 17th Patriarch Arya Sanghanandi 18th Patriarch Arya Gayasata 19th Patriarch Arya Kumarata 20th Patriarch Arya Jayata 21st Patriarch Arya Vasubandhu 22nd Patriarch Arya Manorhita 23rd Patriarch Arya Haklenayasas 24th Patriarch Arya Simha 25th Patriarch Arya Basiasita 26th Patriarch Arya Punyamitra 27th Patriarch Arya Prajnatara 28th Patriarch Arya Bodhidharma (the first Patriarch in China) 29th Patriarch Grand Master Hui K'u 30th Patriarch Grand Master Seng Ts'an 31st Patriarch Grand Master Tao Hsin 32nd Patriarch Grand Master Hung Yen And I am the 33rd Patriarch (the sixth Patriarch in China). Thus the Dharma was handed down from one Patriarch to another. Hereafter, you men should in turn transmit it to posterity, from one generation to another, so that the tradition may be maintained."

On the third day of the eighth Moon of the year of Kuei Chou, the second Year of HsienT'ien Era (A.D. 713), after taking food at the Kuo En Monastery, the Patriarch addressed his disciples as follows: "Please sit down, for I am going to say good-bye."

Thereupon Fa Hai spoke to the Patriarch, "Sir, will you please leave to posterity definite instructions whereby people under delusion may realize the Buddha nature."

"It is not impossible," replied the Patriarch, "for these men to realize the Buddha-nature, provided they acquaint themselves with the nature of ordinary sentient beings. But to seek Buddhahood without such knowledge would be in vain even if one shall spend aeons of time in the search.

"Now, let me show you how to get acquainted with the nature of the sentient beings within your mind, and thereby realize the Buddha-nature latent in you. Knowing Buddha means nothing else than knowing sentient beings, for the latter ignore that they are potential Buddhas, whereas a Buddha sees no difference between himself and other beings. When sentient beings realize the Essence of Mind, they are Buddhas. If a Buddha is under delusion in his Essence of Mind, he is then an ordinary being. When your mind is crooked or depraved, you are ordinary beings with Buddha-nature latent in you. On the other hand, when you direct your mind to purity and straightforwardness even for one moment, you are a Buddha.

"Within our mind there is a Buddha, and that Buddha within is the real Buddha. If Buddha is not to be sought within our mind, where shall we find the real Buddha? Doubt not that Buddha is within your mind, apart from which nothing can exist. Since all things or phenomena are the production of our mind, the Sutra says, 'When mental activity begins, things come into being; when mental activity ceases, they too cease to exist.' In parting from you, let me leave you a stanza entitled 'The Real Buddha of the Essence of Mind'. People of future generations who understand its meaning will realize the Essence of Mind and attain Buddhahood. It reads:
The Essence of Mind or Tathata (Suchness) is the real Buddha,
While heretical views and the three poisonous elements are Mara.
Enlightened by Right Views, we call forth the Buddha within us.
When our nature is dominated by the three poisonous elements
We are said to be possessed by Mara;
But when Right Views eliminate from our mind these poisonous elements
Mara will be transformed into a real Buddha.
The Dharmakaya, the Sambhogakaya and the Nirmanakaya -
These three Bodies emanate from one (the Essence of Mind).
He who is able to realize this fact intuitively
Has sown the seed, and will reap the fruit of Enlightenment.
It is from the Nirmanakaya that our Pure Nature emanates;
Within the former the latter is to be found.
Guided by Pure Nature, the Nirmanakaya treads the Right Path,
And will some day attain to the Sambhogakaya, perfect and infinite.
'Pure Nature' is an outgrowth of our sensual instincts;
By getting rid of sensuality, we attain the Pure Dharmakaya.
When our temperament is such that we are no longer the slaves of the five sense-objects,
And when we have realized the Essence of Mind even for one moment only, then
Truth is known to us.
Should we be so fortunate as to be the followers of the Sudden School in this life,
In a sudden we shall see the Bhagavat of our Essence of Mind.
He who seeks the Buddha (from without) by practicing certain doctrines
Knows not where the real Buddha is to be found.
He who is able to realize the Truth within his own mind
Has sown the seed of Buddhahood.
He who has not realized the Essence of Mind and seeks the Buddha from without
Is a fool motivated by wrong desires.
I have hereby left to posterity the teaching of the Sudden School
For the salvation of all sentient beings who care to practice it.
Hear me, ye future disciples!
Your time will have been badly wasted if you neglect to put this teaching into practice.

The list of Buddhas or enlightened Ones is in the order of One transmitting to One. From Hui Neng onwards, the transmission was different. From this chapter 10, 43 monks were said to receive personal teaching from him. Whether they received the Seal of Dharma, no one knows.

Heavenly Way group says they got transmission from one of the line passing Ma Zhu. So if the Sealing of this is True, then Salvation can only be achieved by this group, Sealing the Marks on the forehead of every human being.

So even how high you cultivate self, if you don't recive the Seal, you are earth bound. After Sealing, then you can return to the source, The Void.

Chuang Tzu

Chapter 23 -- Keng Sang Ch'u

"There is no weapon so deadly as man's will. Exacerbate is second to it. There is no bandit so powerful as Nature. In the whole universe there is no escape from it. Yet it is not Nature which does the injury. It is man's own heart. [Reap what you sow]

"Tao informs its own subdivisions, their successes and their failures. What is feared in subdivision is separation. What is feared in separation, is further separation. Thus, to issue forth without return, this is development of the supernatural. To issue forth and attain the goal, this is called death. To be annihilated and yet to exist, this is convergence of the supernatural into ONE. To make things which have form appear to all intents and purposes formless,--this is the sum of all things.

"Birth is not a beginning; death is not an end. There is existence without limitation; there is continuity without a starting-point. Existence without limitation is Space. Continuity without a starting-point is Time. There is birth, there is death, there is issuing forth, there is entering in. That through which one passes in and out without seeing its form, that is the Portal of God.

The Portal of God is the Mysterious Gate or the Mark on our forehead. Its Chinese name is Suan Kuan, the accupuncture point at the nose bridge between the 2 eyes. This is to be Sealed by the Heavenly Way group at the moment. After I gain enlightenment, there might be a change of rule.
It is a Void.

"The Portal of God is Non-Existence. All things sprang from Non-Existence. Existence could not make existence existence. It must have proceeded from Non-Existence. And Non-Existence and Nothing are ONE. Herein is the abiding-place of the Sage.

"The knowledge of the ancients reached the highest point,--the time before anything existed. This is the highest point. It is exhaustive. There is no adding to it.

"The second best was that of those who started from existence. Life was to them a misfortune. Death was a return home. There was already separation.

"The next in the scale said that at the beginning there was nothing. Then life came, to be quickly followed by death. They made Nothing the head, Life the trunk, and Death the tail of existence, claiming as friends whoever knew that existence and non-existence, and life and death were all ONE.
----------------------------------------
"Tao is the sovereign lord of Te (virtue). Life is the glorifier of Te. Nature is the substance of life. The operation of that nature is action. The perversion of that action is error.

"People who know not put forth physical power. People who know employ mental effort. But what people who know do not know is to be as the eye.

I cannot put the original Chinese text here for the last verse. I find this verse not right. So checking the original text and get the meaning below.

(should be squinted eyes. Chinese word 'ni' is not eye alone, and usually used with 'bi' to form 'bi' 'ni' something like looking sideway. Here it is telling you even Taoists are ignorant about looking at the Mystic Portal or nasal gaze. So people who know are one in 10 millions or billion.)

Some know this secret. See Taoist Yoga chapter one.
But they emphasis on the circulation of qi in the other chapters of the book. English version was translated by Lu Kuan Yu, a Buddhist monk.

Therefore nasal gaze is very important in spiritual cultivation.

Great Learning

Singapore time 9.34 am 26th August 2007

The Great Learning - Daxue

The Way of learning to be great consists in shining with the illustrious power of moral personality, in making a new people, in abiding in the highest goodness. To know one's abiding place leads to fixity of purpose, fixity of purpose to calmness of mind, calmness of mind to serenity of life, serenity of life to careful consideration of means, careful consideration of means to the achievement of the end.
(There is no details of how to achieve this end. My answer to this is meditation. Only this can calm the mind.)

Things have their roots and branches, human affairs their endings as well as beginnings. So to know what comes first and what comes afterwards leads one near to the Way. The men of old who wished to shine with the illustrious power of personality throughout the Great Society, first had to govern their own states efficiently. Wishing to do this, they first had to make an ordered harmony in their own families. Wishing to do this, they first had to cultivate their individual selves. Wishing to do this, they first had to put their minds right. Wishing to do this, they first had to make their purposes genuine. Wishing to do this, they first had to extend their knowledge to the utmost. Such extension of knowledge consists in appreciating the nature of things.

For with the appreciation of the nature of things knowledge reaches its height. With the completion of knowledge, purposes become genuine. With purposes genuine, the mind becomes right. With the mind right, the individual self comes into flower. With the self in flower, the family becomes an ordered harmony. With the family harmony ordered, the State is efficiently governed. With State efficiently governed, the Great Society is at peace.

(The repetition of events show the importance of the words. From the last four sentences, I draw three figures of body, one for self, one for family and one for country.)
http://www.geocities.com/alex_kew/image1/confucianism.gif .

So cultivating self consists in purifying the mind. When the mind is pure, our speech will be good, so will be our body healthy. Harmonize the family is by means of the perfection of the father. The father when perfect, the wife will be subservient and the sons (no son means no perfection) obedient. The country can be perfectly governed only when the king or president is perfectly pure. So the government is efficient and the citizens loyal. When this happens, the Great Harmony is in place throughout the whole world.
The men of old is referring to the new Sage, who will act (not talk) till perfection.

Thus from the Son of Heaven down to the common people there is unity in this; that for everybody the bringing of the individual self to flower is to be taken as the root. (Since that is so), for the root to be out of order and the branches to be in order is an impossibility. For a man to despise what he should respect and then be respected for having what he despises, is contrary to human experience. This is to be described as knowing the root.
(Cultivating self is the root of all good deeds. Start with mind purification first.)

As for what is described as knowing the root, this means the height of knowledge.

To know the root is to know Nature. That is also what I quote: 'The world is a stage, we are only actors'.
Nature creates this world and Nature can end this world. We as the created parts, cannot stop this Natural process.
Our duty is to do our part.

The above is also talking about One man who will perform his duty cultivating self, purify the family, cure the country and bring world peace or conquer the world. I hope I am this man. That is why I keep preaching my Confucianism.

Tao Te Ching

Taoteching Chapter 1

To understand chapter 1, you need to read
Taoist Yoga chapter 1 first. The last verse of the above chapter is talking about the Mystic Portal. The chapter can be read as:-

The Way can be trodden but it is not a normal Way. You can name it but the name is not its name. Without a name it is the creator of heaven and earth. Given a name it is the mother of all creation. Always empty (nothingness), you have to observe its mystery. Conceiving its presence, we have to observe its outlines. These 2 observations are the same. Both are mystic for we are looking at the mysterious Mystic Portal.

Observation is done by the 2 eyes. The only outlines you see is the nose tip and the abstract X image. It resembles the Buddhist swastika. The difficulty in explanation is that we have to look at the Mystic Portal but this is impossible for we only see empty space. So the guide is to look at the nose tip, viewing the abstract X image. Even in the Bible, it reminds us to look for Jesus outside the city of Jerusalem, that is the place of crucification on the hill. Jerusalem is Mystic Portal, nose tip is where Jesus was crucified.

Hui Neng

Sutra of Hui Neng
Chapter 1--Autobiography
Once, when the Patriach had arrived at Pao Lam Monastery, Prefect Wai of Shiu Chow and other officials went there to ask him to deliver public lectures on Buddhism in the hall of Tai Fan Temple in the City (of Canton).
In due course, there were assembled (in the lecture hall) Prefect Wai, government officials and Confucian scholars, about thirty each, and Bhikkhus, Bhikkhunis, Taoist and laymen, to the number of about one thousand. After the Patriarch had taken his seat, the congregation in a body paid him homage and asked him to preach on the fundamental laws of Buddhism. Whereupon, His Holiness delivered the following address:--
Learned Audience, our Essence of Mind (literally, self-nature) which is the seed or kernel of enlightenment (Bodhi) is pure by nature, and by making use of this mind alone we can reach Buddha-hood directly. [(Compare this with Visualizing Sutra's - Because the body of the Buddha is the Body of the Universe, and it is within the mind of all beings. Therefore, when you think of that Buddha, your mind is the One who has the thirty-two Magnificent Figures and the eighty Virtues. It is the mind that is to become a Buddha; and it is the mind that is a Buddha. Buddhist term for the One is our mind. It is a bit confusing when explaining this Buddhist reasoning. Even in Bhagavad Gita there are more terms to confuse readers. If we stick to one let say our soul or spirit, then we can understand all scriptures. The statement said Mind is a Buddha, so why must the Buddhists pray to Buddha made of paper, cloth, wood, metals, stones etc? Is not this stupid of you?)]
Now let me tell you something about my own life and how I came into possession of the esoteric teaching of the Dhyana (or the Zen) School.
------------------------------------------
My stanza read:-- 'There is no Bodhi-tree, nor stand of a mirror bright. Since all is void, where can the dust alight?' (The mark on the forehead is a void, so everything is void. What there to think about?.)
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Knowing that I had realized the Essence of Mind, the Patriarch said, "For him who does not know his own mind, there is no use learning Buddhism. On the other hand, if he knows his own mind and see intuitively his own nature, he is a Hero, a 'Teacher of gods and men,' 'Buddha'." (Hui Neng was a lay man and had no Buddhist teaching from any one and he cannot read or write. A person who is fated to be an enlightened person will achieve his goal no matter how. Gautama Buddha was predicted to be a holy man when he was just born as a baby and some wrote that he pointed one index to the sky and the other index to the earth. Also Jesus when still a baby wealthy merchants visited him. This is a PLAN by the mysterious One. We are only actors and actresses. Once you are handed a role of a beggar, you have to act a beggar, a king, act as a king and an enlightened man as a Buddha, Saint, prophet etc. act as one of them.)
Thus, to the knowledge of no one, the Dharma was transmitted to me at midnight (sealing the mark on the forehead), and consequently I became the inheritor of the teaching of the 'Sudden' School as well as of the robe and the begging bowl.
"You are now the Sixth Patriarch," said he. "Take good care of yourself, and deliver as many sentient beings as possible. Spread and preserve the teaching, and don't let it come to an end. Take note of my stanza:-- 'Sentient beings who sow the seeds of enlightenment, in the field of Causation will reap the fruit of Buddha-hood. Inanimate objects void of Buddha-nature, sow not and reap not.'
-------------------------------------------------
Whereupon I came out from my hiding place and squatted on the rock. He made obeisance and said "Lay Brother, preach to me, please."
"Since the object of your coming is the Dharma," said I, "refrain from thinking of anything and keep your mind blank. I will then teach you." When he had done this for a considerable time, I said "When you are thinking of neither good nor evil what is at that particular moment, Venerable Sir, your real nature (literally, original face)?"
(When you think of nothing, your mind is a void, that is the true self.)
As soon as he heard this he at once became enlightened. But he further asked, "Apart from those esoteric sayings and esoteric ideas handed down by the Patriarch from generation to generation, are there any other esoteric teaching?" "What I can tell you is not esoteric," I replied. "If you turn your light inwardly, you will find what is esoteric within you." [Turning your light inwardly by turning the eye-balls inward (like nasal gaze), the mark on the forehead will gives you certain sensations.]
"In spite of my staying in Wong Mui," said he, "I did not realize my self-nature. Now, thanks to your guidance, I know it as a water-drinker knows how hot or how cold the water is. Lay Brother, you are now my teacher."

Essence of Mind in Buddhism should be Tathagata. In Chinese text in this sutra, it is self nature. For laymen, it can be called spiritual soul. This is the One that can save us. Praying to all others outside will not save us.

Surah 61 -- The Ranks
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
1. All that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth glorifieth Allah, and He is the Mighty, the Wise.
2. O ye who believe! Why say ye that which ye do not?
3. It is most hateful in the sight of Allah that ye say that which ye do not.
4. Lo! Allah loveth those who battle for His cause in ranks, as if they were a solid structure.
5. And (remember) when Moses said unto his people: O my people! Why persecute ye me, when ye well know that I am Allah's messenger unto you? So when they went astray Allah sent their hearts astray. And Allah guideth not the evil-living folk.
6. And when Jesus son of Mary said: O Children of Israel! Lo! I am the messenger of Allah unto you, confirming that which was (revealed) before me in the Torah, and bringing good tidings of a messenger who cometh after me, whose name is the Praised One. Yet when he hath come unto them with clear proofs, they say: This is mere magic.

(You have to read the Bible, New Testament to verify because Jesus said about his second coming only. It might refer to me as people will reject me before the Trumpet blows. This cannot be Muhammad as he had many followers.)
7. And who doth greater wrong than he who inventeth a lie against Allah when he is summoned unto Al-Islam? And Allah guideth not wrongdoing folk.
8. Fain would they put out the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light however much the disbelievers are averse.
9. He it is who hath sent His messenger with the guidance and the religion of truth, that He may make it conqueror of all religion however much idolaters may be averse.
10. O ye who believe! Shall I show you a commerce that will save you from a painful doom?
11. Ye should believe in Allah and His messenger, and should strive for the cause of Allah with your wealth and your lives. That is better for you, if ye did but know.
12. He will forgive you your sins and bring you into Gardens underneath which rivers flow, and pleasant dwellings in Gardens of Eden. That is the supreme triumph.
13. And (He will give you) another blessing which ye love: help from Allah and present victory. Give good tidings (O Muhammad) to believers.
14. O ye who believe! Be Allah's helpers, even as Jesus son of Mary said unto the disciples: Who are my helpers for Allah? They said: We are Allah's helpers. And a party of the Children of Israel believed, while a party disbelieved. Then We strengthened those who believed against their foe, and they became the uppermost.

Praised One in Chinese sounded like Muhammad, but how can this be because he had many followers. And how can he be a conqueror in verse 9.

Verse 12 is about Garden of Eden, underneath which rivers flow. This is our face, The Mark on our nose bridge, below which tears flow. This kind of verse keeps repeating in the Quran for many times. You can count them.

Visualising Sutra

Singapore time 7.50 am 24th August 2007

The Sutra of Visualizing The Buddha of Immeasurable Length of Life
Middle part

The Buddha told Vaidehi, 'You--and all beings--should concentrate your minds on one point and think about the Western Quarter. How is one to think of that? Anyone who is going to think of that should not be a person born blind; and anyone who has eyes must have seen the sun sinking in the West. Sit facing the Western Quarter and think about the place where the sun sinks down. Concentrate your mind upon it without being distracted and look at the sun sinking, resembling a hanging drum. After having seen the sinking sun, you will see it whenever your eyes are open or shut. This is the thinking of the Sun, and it is the First Visualization.'

http://www.geocities.com/alex_kew/image1/visualising1.jpg
By looking at the sun, we need to wait for sunset, so by looking at our nose tip, assuming it as the sun, we can meditate day and night in any direction.
http://www.geocities.com/alex_kew/image1/visualising2.jpg
A hanging drum.

'Next you think about water. Notice that water is very pure and that it is indissoluble. When you have seen water thus, then think it is going to freeze. Then see that the ice is the same as crystal, which is transparent. Beneath it there are columns, made of gold, inlaid with the seven jewels, supporting the crystal. These columns have eight facets, each of them has one hundred diamonds. Each of the diamonds has a thousand beams of light. Each of these rays has eighty-four thousand colors. These crystals are as glittering as hundreds and thousands of suns shining together. They are so dazzling that one cannot see them totally. On these crystals there are golden ropes interlaid as ornaments. They are separated by the seven jewels. Each of these jewels has five hundred colors, whose brightness is as that of flowers, or stars and of the moon, suspended in the air, forming a Terrace of Brightness.

'On that Terrace, there are hundreds and thousands of storeyed pavilions, built of a hundred kinds of jewels. At the two sides of the terrace, there are hundreds and thousands of embroidered tapestries and musical instruments as decorations. There are eight kinds of mild breeze coming out from the brightness; and it plays upon those instruments, which produce the sound of the Dharma of Sorrow, of Transitory-ness and of Unreality. This, the Thinking of the Water, and it is the Second Visualization. When this Visualization is completed, see them one by one clearly, and do not let them disappear whether your eyes are open or shut, except at eating times.

(This visualization of the water is the tears and eyes. The fantastic elaboration will confuse any reader. The very important point to be stressed is eyes must be open. Some monks look at the floor when they meditate. This visualization is not for you to think when you meditate. This is wrong. It is mainly to describe our face and pinpoint the mark on the forehead. Compare Koran's 'Garden of Eden underneath which rivers flow.' Or see Chinese word for it like >J< , eyes looking inward.)

'Once having attained this Samadhi, one can clearly see the Pure Land, which is indescribable by words. This is the Thinking of the Land, (the mark on our forehead) and it is the Third Visualization.'
The Buddha then addressed to the Venerable Ananda, 'You must hold to the Buddha's words and tell those who wish to escape from suffering in the future to think of the Land. Any person who thinks of the Pure Land will be exempted from rebirth for eight million kalpas of time, and will undoubtedly be reborn into the Pure Land at his next birth. To visualize the Most Happy World as stated above is right, it is wrong to do so otherwise.'

The Buddha told the Venerable Ananda, 'Next to the Thinking of the Land is to visualize the Jewel-trees. That is to visualize the trees that are in seven rows. They are eight thousand yojanas in height and each of them has flowers and leaves made completely of the seven jewels. Every flower and every leaf of those trees has a brilliant hue. A golden ray comes out from the agate color; a crimson ray comes out from the crystal color; a beryl ray comes out from the lapis lazuli color; a green-pearl ray comes out from the beryl color; and there are rays of coral and amber color shining beautifully. There are nets made of strings of pearls covering those trees. Seven of these nets cover each of those trees. Between the nets, there are fifty million luxurious palaces, the same as those in the Brahmin heaven.

'There are heavenly youths in these palaces; each of them wears fifty million Muni-gems as ornaments. The rays of these gems shine for a distance of one thousand yojanas, like a hundred thousand suns shining together (as though their rays were interwoven). All the rays are of the finest color. The jewel-trees are set in rows opposite rows. (like our eye-lashes) There are wonderful flowers and fruits made of the seven jewels between the leaves. Each of the branches of the trees is twenty-five yojanas in length. The leaves have a thousand various colors, like heavenly pictures. There are many flourishing blossoms, golden in color, like turning fire-wheels rolling between the leaves and producing heavenly fruits.

'There is also a great light, which becomes many draperies and canopies. All the affairs of the Buddha, and all the Buddha countries in the ten quarters, appear in these canopies. When you have visualized these trees, look at them one by one: the stems, the branches, the leaves, the flowers and the fruits, should all be very clearly visualized. This is the Meditation on Trees, (eye-lashes) and it is the Fourth Visualization.

Bhagavad Gita chapter 6 1 paragraph

GHAGAVAD GITA
chapter 6 1 paragraph
'The yogi should unite constantly with the soul, situated in solitude, one self-controlled consciousnesswithout wanting, without possessing. In a clear place establishing the firm seat of the soul, neither too high nor too low, covered with cloth, antelope skin, and kusha grass, there making the mind single, consciousness and sense activity controlled, sitting on the seatone should practice union for self-purification.Keeping even the unmoving body, head, and neck steady, concentrating the eyes on the tip of the nose, and not looking around, the self calmed, fear banished, staying in chastity, controlling the mind, conscious of me,united, one should sit devoted to me.Thus always united with the soul, the yogi of disciplined mindattains peace, supreme nirvana, founded with me.

Nasal gaze is the correct meditation of the 2 meditation methods mentioned in the Gita. I preach this in my Meditation For Everyone in my earlier post.

I-Ching - 1st Hexagram

The Lines:
Nine at the beginning:
a) Hidden dragon. Do not act.
b) "Hidden dragon. Do not act." For the light-giving force is still below.
Nine in the second place:
a) Dragon appearing in the field. It furthers one to see the great man.
b) "Dragon appearing in the field." Already the influence of character reaches far.
Nine in the third place:
a) All day long the superior man is creatively active. At nightfall his mind is still beset with cares. Danger. No blame.
b) "All day long the superior man is creatively active." One goes to and fro on the right path.
Nine in the fourth place:
a) Waving flight over the depths. No blame.
b) "Waving flight over the depths." Advance is not a mistake.
Nine in the fifth place:
a) Flying dragon in the heavens. It furthers one to see the great man.
b) "Flying dragon in the heavens." This shows the great man at work.
Nine at the top:
a) Arrogant dragon will have cause to repent.
b) "Arrogant dragon will have cause to repent." For what is at the full cannot last.
When all the lines are nines:
a) There appears a flight of dragons without heads. Good fortune.
b) "All the lines are nines." It is the nature of heaven not to appear as head.

The centre of power is in the 5th line. Top line is unfavourable. So king or president will be subjected to downfall. Therefore I change this line to :
Inactive dragon will have cause to prosper.
Inactive is self cultivation in meditation and eat vegetarian diet.

I combine the above with Confucianism to come out with my Cofucianism.

This hexagram also details how I am climb up the stairs to achieve authority over the world.

"All phenomena are like
"A dream, an illusion, a bubble and a shadow,
"Like dew and lightning.
"Thus should you meditate upon them."

This is the 4 line stanza I pick from the Diamond Sutra or The Vajracchedika-Pranjna-Paramita Sutra.
The meaning is the world is a stage, we are only actors. Therefore we should meditate upon it.

I combine this with Visualising The Buddha of Immeasurable Length of Life Sutra to get the nasal gaze meditation. See Meditation for Everyone in my earlier post.

Surah 48 -- Victory
29.Muhammad is the messenger of Allah. And those with him are hard against the disbelievers and merciful among themselves. Thou (O Muhammad) seest them bowing and falling prostrate (in worship), seeking bounty from Allah and (His) acceptance. The mark of them is on their foreheads from the traces of prostration. Such is their likeness in the Torah and their likeness in the Gospel--like as sown corn that sendeth forth its shoot and strengtheneth it and riseth firm upon its stalk, delighting the sowers--that He may enrage the disbelievers with (the sight of) them. Allah hath promised, unto such of them as believe and do good works, forgiveness and immense reward.

(This is the most important verse in the Quran because it details the mark on our forehead with a corn-plant. This likeness is also emphasized in the Bible (Old Testament & New Testament) in a different manner only known to the messenger for gathering all mankind. The holiness of the Quran goes to the one revealing the meaning of this verse. Disbelievers will be enraged. I put two images below to pin point the Mark on our forehead.)

Bible Study

Singapore time 8.38 am 22nd August 2007

Genesis -
1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
1:4 And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
1:5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

In the beginning it is Void. This is same as 'Wu Chi' in Taoism.
Void gives birth to Light and Darkness. These are like 'Yin and Yanf' in Taoism, the 'Tai Chi'.
Then comes the brith of heaven and earth.

Change Of Diet

Singapore time 8.18 am 20th August 2007

This downfall of shares gets my money stick, so I have to be more frugal. I stopped eating guava yesterday and switch to vegetarian porridge and noddle in soup.

Usually there is leftover of rice in the pot, so I use this to make porridge. I just add groundnuts or sesame seeds, little salted soya beans for taste and vegetables.

Also I cut my head bald so I can use soap to wash my head every day instead of expensive shampoo. I use a scissor to trim my hair to the shortest possible like a monk.

The share downfall recently might hold my money, stuck in there. So my expenses for the future will be more frugal till the shares recover their value.

This is life as I have not cross the threshold of enlightment. I have to bare the world's criticism before I can get full enlightenment. This is written in scriptures. I want to confirm whether I am Melchizedec, Son of Perdition, the preacher like Noah in Luke chapter 17, Maitreya Buddha or the One doing expounding of the 4 line stanza of the Diamond Sutra etc etc.

Share prices are going downhill and many speculators might have lost money. Genuine investors will only hold them or with extra cash, buy the cheap shares now.

I can hold for about a month. If the prices are still low I might have to sell some for monthly expenses.

I discourage speculation. Big players are the ones controlling the market. Buy those shares that give you dividend every year. This is much better than return from fix deposit in banks.

New ipos are making money. You can apply for them but chances are slim same as lottery.

Singapore National Day

Singapore time 8.20 am 2nd August 2007
National Day is around the corner and many Singaporeans are putting up Singapore flags outside their flats or building to show their allegance. To me this is not important. I don't follow trend or common practice. Like funeral service, I now don't attend them. I don't respect a dead body which is similar to an animal carcase like chicken carcases in wet market. To respect a person is when he or she is still alive not when dead.
I do not encourage the way national day celebration is organised in Singapore. It is really a waste of money, time and effort. What is the purpose of this wasteful celebration ? To tell Singaporeans PAP is the best.
Celebration can be conducted on grass root level in each constituency. Get the people to join in. It is no point showing off our new weapons and fighting planes. Neighbour countries will not be cow edby our show of armed forces. Humility is the rule.
