Daodejing Poem 51

Singapore time 9.34 am 31st July 2008

Tao creates it; virtue fosters it, matter shapes it; authority and condition perfect it. This is why all things do honour to Tao and venerate virtue. Tao's honour and virtue's veneration come not by fate or by decree, but always just by nature they are so. Therefore Tao creates it; virtue fosters it; grows it; feeds it; perfects it; conditions it; rears it; shelters it. Create but never own; do but never lord; grow but not to govern. This is called mystic virtue.

This is talking about the VOID. The VOID on us is the Mark on our forehead which is called 'Suan Kuan', Mysterious Portal. This is the gateway to return. There is no other way. Read Revelation chapter 8 regarding the sealing of the 144,000 Jews. It is not mainly for the Jews but all human beings. Read the meaning of the New Covenant.

Daodejing Poem 52

Singapore time 8.33 am 29th July 2008

The world has a beginning which becomes the world's mother. You have to get to know the mother to know the son. Return by focusing on the mother; leaving a dead body, you are still alive. Stop up your senses; close up your doors; forever you will not be exhausted. Open up your senses; busy over worldly matters; forever you will not be saved. Look at small (Chinese word) is named understanding (see Chinese word); focusing on gentleness is called strong. Using its light, return its brightness to eminence; without losing body in calamity; that is always inert in action.

Shut up your senses (thought) during meditation. Close the 6 doors to outside world namely the ears (hearing), eyes (sight except nasal gaze), nose (smell), mouth (taste), body (touch) and mind (thought). Looking at small is to look at Chinese word for small 小. It has a J with a Chinese 8 八. J is our nose and 8 八 is our 2 eyes.

From the beginning, we thought it was the Mother. To know the Mother in order that we can get to know the son. This is different from Bible which says to know the son then you can know the father. The meaning should be about the same. It is because the Chinese word son. The crossing of strokes is like the crossing of the cross. It is mostly words play in this poem to indicate the Mark on our forehead. The Mark is just like Son in Bible or Mother here. This is the TRUTH.

Focusing on the Mark we will get enlightened and with this Mark Sealed, then we can return. I don't know whether self can open the Mark by oneself. So it is better you seek I-Kuan Tao to Seal the Mark for you.

Daodejing Poem 53

Singapore time 9.24 am 27th July 2008

Letting me to know suddenly the truth, walking in the domain of great Tao, mine only conduct is fear. Great Tao is smooth sailing, but people prefer small paths. The royal court is abundant in luxuries; farmers' fields are overgrown with weeds; the granaries are empty; yet royal officials are clad in fine silk; swords hanging on their hips; they are making merry with food and wine; their money are in abundant. This is what is called brigandage, not the way of Tao!

Awakening is sudden. When I had my Mark on my forehead sealed, I awaken to the sudden urge to do things for the world. My mind kept telling me to get hold of many scriptures as possible. To many people, their awakening is enlightenment. Like Hui Neng, his awakening was after hearing the reading of the Diamond Sutra by someone.

The path of Tao or self cultivation is simple but many people cannot take it because they want merriment to tickle their senses.

If the rulers amass riches in their pocket, they are not following the Tao way. It is like robbing the citizens to enrich themselves. Tao's way is to treat everyone equal something like the Communist way. This is because we are all Gods. Our Spirits are the same One. That is Tao.

Daodejing Poem 54

Singapore time 9.31 am 26th July 2008

Those who are good in construction is not uprooted; those who are good embracing are not left out. Your children and grand children honouring you at the altar will not stop. Cultivating self, your virtue will become genuine; cultivating Tao in the home, its virtue will overflow. Cultivating Tao in the village, its virtue will expand, cultivating Tao in the country, the virtue will flourish. Cultivating Tao in the world, the virtue will be universal. Truly use body to observe body; using family to observe family; use village to observe village; use country to observe country and use the world to observe the world. How do I know the world is like this? By this. (Using index placed at the nose tip, gazing at the nose tip to tell the audience.)

Construction is foundation, good roots, good virtue. Embracing is compassion.

If you have good roots, good virtue and compassion, you will have strings of descendants to honour you. Ancestor worship is Chinese culture. This is what I would like to stop. When you know you yourself is God, how can you pray to the tablets or photographs of your ancestors ? If you are still ignorant, you can be excused. But once you know you are God, you cannot pray to ancestors or idols or any other Gods.

Cultivating in family is your family know what you are doing. Cultivating in the village is the whole village know what you are doing. Cultivating in the country is the country men know what you are doing. Cultivating in the universe is the whole world know what you are doing. This is what I am doing, preaching to the world the TRUTH, Sealing and meditation.

So use one to see the other, one country to compare to the other. So the troubles of the world can be known. How to know the world is like this, by meditation.

Daodejing Poem 55

Singapore time 8.12 am 24th July 2008

Self virtue that is massive is like an infant. Noxious insects will not sting him; wild beasts will not attack his fresh nor birds of prey peck at his head. His bones are soft, his sinews weak, but his grip is robust. He does not know the sexual union of sexes, thereby his organ shrivels, his vitality at its peak. Whole day he shouts but does not get hoarse, his body harmony is at its height.

Knowing harmony is called constancy. Knowing constancy is called enlightenment. When benefits are experienced, it is called ominous. When mind can control over matter, it is called strong.

Things that strengthen is getting old; it is not of the Way; not of the Way is early death.

This message is talking about the effect and benefit of self cultivation. Self cultivation is to have a body like the baby. The final stage is spirit over matter. So you can mentally commmand a hill to topple or fly in the atmosphere or sky. When your body is etherised, how can it die ?

That is not important as past cultivators want to achieve immortality. The present stage is to have the Mark on your forehead Sealed, so you can return to the VOID. DOOM is near. All are to return. If you refuse the Sealing you will be killed and reborn again as baby to receive the Seal.

Daodejing Poem 56

Singapore time 9.34 am 22nd July 2008

Knower does not talk; and talkers do not know. Stop your gratifying senses, close your doors, blunt your sharpness, resolve your disputes, unite your eye balls, make it same with the dust or dirt; this is called mystic unity.

For the Sage is neither moved by affection nor estrangement, profit nor loss, honour nor shame. Therefore he is the world's highest esteem.

Expounding meditation cannot talk, just meditate. Those who talk too much do not meditate. During meditation, you think of neither good nor bad. It is much better if you think of nothing. So stop your wondering mind, close your 6 doors to outside influences, blunt your discriminating mind, forget your worries, unite your eye balls and think that you are no different from the dust or dirt. Tao is in everything. And every things are in Tao. Life is an illusion. Your state of mind is not moved by affection, enemy, kins, gain, loss, honour, shame, happiness, sadness, like, dislike etc.

TRUTH cannot be spread by anyone. Lets take Heavenly Way or I-Kuan Tao's 3 Treasures for example. Members are told to keep it a secret or be punished by Nature. If I am the Chosen One, I can preach this but not in details. My meditation is about the same as the 3 Treasures.

Daodejing Poem 57

Singapore time 9.47 am 20th July 2008

Use uprighteousness to govern country, use sparingly the army, use inaction to win the world. How do I know this is so? By this! The world with many taboos, the people grow poorer; people use abundant weapons, the country grows chaotic; people use multiply skills, novelties flourish; laws increase in number, more criminal abound.

For Sage said: 'I inaction, and people self reform; I love quietness, and people will be upright; I do nothing, people will prosper; I desire nothing, the people will return to their simplicity

Again here it stresses on inaction, 'wu wei'. How do the writer knew ? By this ! means meditation or gazing at the nose tip. This is action without words by pointing own nose tip and showing eyes focusing there.

The message is for the Sage King. How many lay men really can understand this ? This is why the world is in chaos because lay men use the opinions to rule others. They don't understand Nature's way of ruling. Like having more taboos or regulations, the people will be restricted and become non creative. When gun law is allowed, the country get more violent in crime. With more laws enacted does not mean less criminals but instead increase them. Human nature is to seek revenge or punishment for the offending party. They don't show compassion for the offenders. Instead of reforming them, people want murderers to die, rapist to be hanged etc. All sort of labels are used to describe the criminals.

Reforming criminals is simple. Just feed them vegetarian food and broadcast religious chant or speech to them daily. Also get them to meditate my type. In this way, they will become a better person. They might become more holier than outside priests or monks etc.

Daodejing Poem 58

Singapore time 8.26 am 19th July 2008

His rule listless, his people will be prosperous; his rule exacting, his people will be restless. Bad fortune will promote the good; good fortune too gives rise to bad. Who knows to what that leads? His not upright! Upright returns is considered rarity. Goodness returns is considered magical. People are astray, his days misled are very long indeed.

Therefore, the Sage is square but not sharp or not cunning, honest but not malign, straight but not strict, mean, bright but not dazzling.

Chinese words missing and jumble up for others.

This is talking about the Sage King. His rule is on the quiet. He is inactive 'wu wei', but his grip is that of an iron rod that can whack people. What is on the surface might not reveal the underneath. So don't judge a book by its cover. All this is because of magical power that is working for him.

He is plain, not what people look for as a leader, this is because he is not a leader. His duty is to preach the TRUTH. So he is awarded the title Sage King etc. We are all like brothers; Spirit has no gender. So it might be his turn to be One. Next time others might be Ones. That is beyond my knowledge.

Daodejing Poem 59

Singapore time 8.09 am 17th July 2008

Cure people, work for heaven, don't be stingy. oh yes, stingy, remedy is early submission. Early submission, it is called to value accumulated virtue; to value accumulated virtue however that none is not subdued, controlled. None is not subdued is however not to know its infinite resources. Not to know its infinite resources, then can have country. Having the country's mother, then it is lasting. This is called deep rooted solid stem (placenta), the everlasting life, lasting gaze 's Way.

To bring peace to the world, you mustn't be stingy, must be broadminded. Early submission is to surrender to the One inside you. Meditation will accumulate virtue. As your spiritual power or virtue increases other people will be subdued by your influence. However it is better not to know the power of your spirituality so that you can have a country to rule. The meaning is if you know its power you might make use of it to harm people. (This is the reason I discourage the practices of chapter 2 to 16 of Taoist Yoga to readers. These are martial arts and healing practices.) As the father of a country (or mother as per chapter) then you can have a lasting Tao for company.

Ruling the world is not by authority or power. It is the mandate of Nature that the Chosen One is to rule the world. Self cultivation is to accumulate virtue so that its influence can go far and wide. Preaching the TRUTH will subject others to him. This is the magic that most people do not understand. The magic is written in scriptures. His duty is just to open the cans of magic. In the end, people will push him to lead or be their president. This is to tally with I-Ching 1st hexagram Creative or Chien. The top line is unfavourable but if changed to 'Inactive or 'wu wei' dragon, there is cause for prosperity', the line will become favourable. This is why I advocate an inactive head of state for all countries on earth.

Daodejing Poem 60

Singapore time 8.49 am 13th July 2008

Cure a big country as if you fry small fishes. Using Tao to reach the world:- world's ghosts are not gods; not world's ghosts are not gods. World's god does not harm people; not world's god does not harm people.

The Sage also does not harm people. Oh, both, Sage and people, do not harm each other, so virtue converge to return to the roots.

Ruling a big country is like frying small fishes. This is to say, don't meddle too much into the affairs of others. Another meaning is inaction, 'wu wei'. To make this effective, the head of state should be inactive or without any political power, just a figure head. So he just cultivate self to prosper the country.

Lee Kuan Yew thinks he is very smart in ruling Singapore. He does not know that all these are because I am in Singapore. If I am to migrate to another country, Singapore can collapse.

Whether ghost or God, they don't harm people. It is the Act Play of Nature that is what we see. We thought this is reality. This is not. We are just actors.

It is in virtue that we have to return to our Root in the END.

Daodejing Poem 61

Singapore time 8.40 am 12th July 2008

The great country receives all the upper streams, it is the concourse of the world; it is the female of the world. It always uses quietude to overcome the male. Use of quietude is below, the base.

Therefore great country using quietude as base to small country, definitely will takeover the small country; a small country using quietude as base to big country, definitely will takeover big country. For it might be using quietude to conquer, or using quietude and slowly takeover.

The big country un-mistakenly desires for more people; small country un-mistakenly desires more works for its people. Both these countries each attains what each desires. The great must be acting as below, humble.

This chapter is slightly different from the Taoteching and the book I have.

The message here is a bit deep in meaning and is for master minds to comprehend. Tao is just like an ocean where all the water will flow into. It is like a female and its weapon is inaction 'wu wei'.

For country politics, it is humility that works. So don't show off that you are the greatest, whereby you invite jealousy, envy from others. It should work both ways for the benefits of both, not one sided.

Daodejing Poem 62

Singapore time 9.10 am 10th July 2008

The Tao is every things' mystery. It is good people's treasure; it is bad people's refuge. Flowery words can market respect for sale; fair manners can increase more friends. People's badness, why throw them away? For, crowning an emperor, appointing 3 officials, even having joined hands providing jades pieces drawn by a team of 4 horses, it is no better than sitting indulging in Tao cultivation. In ancient time, how were those who honoured Tao fair? Is it not to say:- seekers can attain, sinners who seek are forgiven? Therefore, Tao is the world's honoured One.

Cultivatin Tao or Self cultivation will not fail you. You might not be as powerful as the king or as rich as the wealthiest man on earth, it is happiness or tranquility that is your supreme aim.

Tao is a mystery because It is a VOID. The seekers treasure It while the sinners can seek refuge in It. Words that suit the ears are not genuine. Words of Truth are not pleasing to the ears. The main reason is the rejection of Truth as written in most scriptures. See Matthew chapter 24 verse 15. The Awful Horror is about the Truth but it was written there as if the man preaching it is a mad person.

This Tao is inside us at the Mark on our forehead. It has to be worshipped and honoured above family and country. It is greater than your father that gave birth to you. This is because It gives birth to your father's Spirit and your Spirit.

Daodejing Poem 63

Singapore time 8.38 am 8th July 2008

Do inaction (meditation), working without work, smell non-smell. Big or small, plenty or less, requite anger with virtue. Take tough jobs in hand while they are easy; handle great affairs while they are small. The world's troubles must be handled when they are still easy. The world's great affairs must be handled while they are still small.

That is why, the Sage does not declare himself great, so he can be the greatest. Oh, a promise lightly proclaimed, inspires little confidence; plenty easiness must have plenty troubles. Therefore the Sage likes the hardship, so always has no hardship.

This is a message for the Sage King. Again here it stresses on inaction 'wu wei'. This is mainly meditation. The Sage undergoes hardship in self cultivation. So he cannot be rich with luxury. Requite anger with virtue is the hardest to do. When your wife objects you doing meditation and eating vegetarian food, what can you do ? This is the hardest part of self cultivation when family members object. So tolerance and perseverance have to be employed. They are to act this manner to test the Sage's endurance.

The flowering of the Sage will change the world. A man can just do that. It is no use trying all philosophy and teaching on politics to make peace on earth. Or else Maitreya Buddha will not come down. Elijah will not come down. Son of Perdition will not appear. Son of Man will not preach like Noah in Luke chapter 17, etc.

Daodejing Poem 64

Singapore time 8.14 am 6th July 2008

Thing that is peaceful is easy to hold; given no omen, it is easy to plan. Its softness is easy to melt. Its smallness is easy to scatter. Do to it before it having possession; cure it before confusion sets in. Tree trunk you can hug with both hands grows from a minuscule sprout. Nine storied terrace was built from the ground. A thousand li journey starts from a foot forward. Doing it spoils it; grabbing it misses it.

So the Sage refrains from doing so doesn't spoil anything, he grabs nothing so never misses anything. People when doing work, always fail by a few steps. Careful of the ending as per the beginning, however has no failure.

Therefore, the Sage wants the unwanted things, does not value things that are hard to get. He studies what others dislike, reverts the wrongs of the people. His object is to restore everything to its natural course, but he does no action to that end.

3 Chinese texts versions are different. I am sad to see this. Some Chinese are idiots to alter the texts.

為者敗之○執者失之○是以聖人無為故無敗○無執故無失○
是以○聖人欲不欲○不貴難得之貨○學不學○復衆人之所過○以輔萬物之自然○而不敢為○

The message here is mainly for the Sage King. So how can you relate with 'His object is to restore everything to its natural course'? If you are not the Sage King, can you understand what it is trying to say ? The stress here is also on inaction or 'wu wei'. Inaction is actually action of self cultivation with no aim.

Like if I want to be the president of Singapore, I do not have to stand for election, which will bar me for disqualification. When the time is ripe, Singaporeans will appoint me as president.

Daodejing Poem 65

Singapore time 9.10 am 5th July 2008

In ancient time, men of Tao did not enlightened their subjects, but held them in ignorance. People are hard to govern when their intelligence increases. So to use intelligence to govern a country, it is the country's failure; not to use intelligence to govern a country, it is the country's prosperity. Know the two differences, they are moreover like moral pattern. Always know these moral pattern is called mystic virtue. Mystic virtue is deep and far reaching, then causes a return. Things return to reach the great peace.

Using all means to govern a country is no better than to appoint a morally pure man to be the country's hesd-of-state.

Taoism teaches government of the highest order which refers to the Sage king. So how can we separate religion and politics ?

In the past, communication is very slow, so it is no point teaching the people about governence. Also the time then was no ripe for public disclosure of the TRUTH. Just look at the Taoist Yoga. The master said it was transmitted from master to pupils. The writer of it would like to spread the Taoist meditation to as many as possible by writing the book.

Mystic Virtue is referring to the Mark on our forehead. We have to return to this VOID. Earth is going for transformation, so all Spirits from the VOID have to return.

Daodejing Poem 66

Singapore time 8.18 am 1st July 2008

Why the river seas can be the hundred valleys king, it is because they are at the base, therefore they can be hundred valleys king. So the Sage desires to be above the people, must speak with words that can drown them; Sage desires to be up front, must stand bodily behind the people. Therefore the Sage occupies the high seat, the people do not burdened, occupies upfront so the people are not harmed. So the world will love to trust him and bear no grudges. For the Sage does not compete for his rank, so the world will not compete with him.

This poem is mainly for the Sage King. As a Chosen One, who can compete with him ? Humble is the word for him. When the hour arrives, the world will know him and will accord him the rightful throne he deserve. He does not have to fight for the throne. His main duty is to preach the TRUTH and the message of DOOM.

What other scriptures say of him is as a rejected preacher in the beginning till the final hour. Look at Luke chapter 17 about Son of Man doing the job same as Noah. See the expounder of the 4 line stanza in the Diamond Sutra, his rejection by the hearers. Understand the meaning of Matthew chapter 24 verse 15 about the Awful Horror. Or understand the meaning of Son of Perdition in Thessalonians 2 chapter 2. All these point to the same person. The Chosen One has to be rejected by the people at the initial stage. Even in the Quran surah 61 verse 6, the Praised One or Ahmad will be said to be using magic. However he is the conqueror of the world in verse 9.
