You pray to Jesus is praying to idol.
You pray to Buddha statue is praying to idol.
You pray to deities is praying to idols.
You pray to ancestors is praying to idols.

We are all Gods or Buddha or Tao etc.
So just pray to the God inside us by meditation will do.

Qu'ran - Surah 15 -- Al-Hijr

29. So, when I have made him and have breathed into him of My Spirit, do ye fall down, prostrating yourselves unto him. 

(God's Spirit is our spiritual soul which can never die. Therefore we are Gods. Same as in Genesis chapter 2 v7.)

Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
